Here, the landscape feels untouched. Waves break against immense slabs of rock, sea stacks rise from the Atlantic and the ruins of the old village offer a glimpse into the area’s past. It is a place shaped by weather, sea and time - where every surface carries a sense of texture and story.

Walk from the harbour towards the old village ruins, take in the views from the surrounding cliffs or simply watch the Atlantic move across the rocks. The narrow coastal roads and exposed landscape make it best suited to careful, unhurried exploring.

The surrounding area offers plenty to discover, from the sea cliffs of Slieve League and the beaches of the Slieve League Peninsula to the cultural heritage of Glencolmcille. Slieve Leagues Cliffs rise to 601 metres and can be experienced from viewpoints, walking routes or by boat from nearby Teelin.
